Carbonomic.com, the carbon offset price comparison site has launched it's beta VCOP Carbon Offset Price Index.

The Voluntary Carbon Offset Price (VCOP) Price tracks the per tonne offset price of a basket of carbon offset projects to provide a reference point for consumers to compare carbon offset project market prices against.

The VCOP carbon pricing index pilot, is likely the first of a number of Carbon Offset pricing sub-indexes to help buyers of reputable carbon offset credits see pricing of carbon for a variety of accredited projects, for different carbon sequestration methods and permanence.
